Traditionally we begin our story with the words “It’s windy everyday in Dahab”, this is the reason why we become cranky and even lazy at times. For instance we can say things like: “I don’t feel like getting wet today” or “wind is strange today” ☺. In fact wind has spoiled us rotten and we’re loving it!
Yesterday we partied hard due to Halloween, one of the most favorite occasions here as many got the chance to express themselves by showcasing pretty scary costumes and or make up. Some guests had serious make over into all sorts of monsters.
All kiters joined the party organized by brothers and sisters at windsurf station Vetratoria. Kite girls – lacking evil in them did not want to scare people off and looked nice in the costumes of Red Hat (Alina), Gipsy girl (Iana) and Indira Ghandi (Alyona) dancing among the monsters. Half Surfer Half Kiter Iren was representing herself as murdered Thumbelina, and the award goes to Ksenia who was looking just terrible as a drowned girl.
Boys were more impressive and looked great: Roma with his white face and black lips wearing uniform of the old style railway worker, then costume of the maniyak from Friday the 13th on usually sweet Kolya who we hardly recognized, Uncle Dryu was Pakistan Leader in his very fashionable galabeya, Michal was most shocking monster – drowned bolero guy ☺ Starting today we decided that in order to improve results of our students taking kiteboarding lessons, every instructor of Happy Kite should wear their Halloween costumes so students will listen better the commands and drop the bar faster when the pull of the kite is strong ☺ We’re thinking that a little more fear before instructor-ghoul could be additional motivation for any student!
Today we are on the line again – teaching , kiteboarding, planning for future and making these plans happen. One more holiday has passed and we are back to our daily stuff, which is never routine for us here in beautiful Dahab.
See you on water!
Happy People
