At the end of 2011 passed year presented us with two last days on 30th and 31st full of wind although windguru forecast nothing but the calm seas. One more time year of 2011 proved to be one of the most windy years in Dahab. Let’s hope that 2012 will be the same or even better:)
This year despite many warnings of Mass Media on home television about danger of travelling to Egypt we welcome many old and new friends, thanks to who New Year celebration turned out very special. Kiters don’t talk politics they can speak best language of the wind. Besides all of them are open, outgoing and fun people. We all drank nice cocktails, danced under the stars and anticipated magical changeover between the two years at 12 midnight.
To make evening special and bring people together kite instructors and managers of our school performed a play “Pinocchio” or better to say remake of the fairytale. Despite the fact that all rehearsals days earlier were full of battling and at some point it seemed like not all heroes of the play will survive until the premier, warming cocktails prepared by our manager Nikita erased all disagreements and let us if not remember all the lines from master script helped greatly to improvise our best:)
New Year we celebrated with fine champagne brought to Dahab by our friends, fireworks which can be purchased here and one of a kind delicious of all Nastya’s apple pie.
And later dancing all night long.
