We gladly welcome everybody and give warm farewells –it is Dahab unchanged tradition. But not everybody knows that Dahab is a special place which attracts people to visit more than once, many throw away their return tickets and stay here or seek for opportunities to move in order to fully enjoy local friendly atmosphere, the beauty of Sinai peninsula and ride on strong frequent winds.
Sven – our colleague and good friend – came to Dahab for the first time in April last year as part of his bicycle road trip around the world. Having started out of his home country Germany and cycled around southern Europe, he took a fairy from Italy down to Alexandria and than continued to Dahab thinking of spending here a few days before travelling further to Jordan , Iran and on. But it turned he stayed here till end of January 2012.
In Dahab he saw kites for the first time and got infected with the idea. In the beginning he with his friend Isabelle took lessons at Happy Kite than continued renting until once he offered us to help at the school as an assistant on the beach and in return to use school’s kites. So he remained with us for several months and became part of Happy family. And recently he decided to carry on with his cycling trip and we sadly had to say good bye to him but definitely inspired by his grand plans to travel around the world by bicycle. We wish him great unforgettable experiences, smooth roads and many new friends! We cheer for him as he has a difficult goal to reach Australia by November this year according to his visa. We here will follow his ventures and inform you on the news.
BTW : Isabelle bought her own kite and reached a very good level of riding and decided to stay here a little more and become dive instructor. We wish her good luck on upcoming exams)
Dahab does not let anyone go without leaving massive positive impression which makes anyone wish to come back or make someone want to call this place second home as this is definitely place where many dreams come true)
